I was wearing this shirt today. It’s a Mike Monteiro design from Pixelworkers I bought to contribute to Colleen’s awesome 50 for 50 project.
I was in a little taco place in Wantagh, Long Island buying a couple of fish tacos.
A family stood next to me. Mother, father, boy of about ten.
The boy was staring at me. At my shirt. After an awkward minute of me watching me him watch me, he said something.
“What does that mean?” He pointed at my shirt.
His mother looked kind of horrified but I ignored her and turned to the boy.
“It means make things happen. Don’t wait for them to happen.”
He looked at me blankly for a second then his face lit up. “Oh! Yea! Cool.”
His mother rolled her eyes.
I got my tacos and left, hoping the boy would remember this.
